Terms & Conditions

Last updated 9 July 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of PaperGenre. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use PaperGenre.

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and PaperGenre (“we”, “us”, “our”), the educational platform at papergenre.com. We may update these terms from time to time; if we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, give notice. Continuing to use PaperGenre after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

2. Eligibility

You may use PaperGenre for genuine educational purposes. If you are under 18, you may use the service only with the consent and involvement of a parent, guardian, teacher, or school. Teachers who add students to a class confirm they are permitted to do so.

3. The service

PaperGenre is a study platform that helps students and teachers prepare for Cambridge exams. Its features include:

  • a custom test & worksheet builder that generates your own practice papers;
  • weak-spot analytics, progress tracking, and a question-paper / mark-scheme workspace;
  • classes, assignments, and marking for teachers;
  • (in preview) an AI helper, “Genie”, and AI step-by-step solutions; and
  • access to past-paper questions organised by topic, with mark schemes, for private study.

Features are added and changed over time, and some are still in development.

4. Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account, for keeping access to it secure, and for activity that happens under it. Tell us promptly at papergenre@gmail.com if you think your account has been used without your permission.

5. Acceptable use and academic integrity

You agree not to:

  • share your account or login credentials with others;
  • copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute content from PaperGenre, or use it to build a competing product;
  • reverse engineer, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service;
  • upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing content; or
  • use PaperGenre in a way that breaches your school’s or exam board’s rules on academic honesty — for example, submitting worked solutions as your own original work.

PaperGenre is a study aid intended to support learning, not to replace your own work or a teacher.

6. Intellectual property

Our platform

The PaperGenre name, software, design, and original content are owned by us and protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own educational purposes only.

Past papers and mark schemes

Cambridge past-paper questions and mark schemes are the copyright of Cambridge Assessment International Education and/or the respective examination boards. PaperGenre is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Cambridge Assessment International Education. These materials are made available on PaperGenre for private study and revision. You must not reproduce or distribute them commercially or in breach of the rights holders’ terms. If you are a rights holder and have a concern about any material, contact us and we will respond promptly. Paid plans provide access to PaperGenre’s own software tools and premium features — not to these third-party materials, which remain available for private study.

7. Plans, subscriptions, and payment

PaperGenre’s free tier lets you get started at no cost. Paid plans add PaperGenre’s tools and premium features — such as the custom test and worksheet builder, AI step-by-step solutions, and weak-spot analytics. Paid plans are not yet available; when they launch, prices, billing periods, and payment methods will be shown at the point of purchase, payments will be processed by a third-party payment provider, and any refunds will be handled under our Refund Policy.

8. AI features

The “Genie” AI helper is a preview and currently uses sample content only. AI-generated marking and feedback, when available, may be inaccurate or incomplete and are not a substitute for a qualified teacher or the official examiner’s judgement. Do not rely on them as a guarantee of marks.

9. Disclaimers

PaperGenre is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee any particular exam result, grade, or outcome, and we do not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PaperGenre will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits, or opportunity, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using PaperGenre and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or use the service in a way that harms PaperGenre or its users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and any disputes will be subject to the courts of Pakistan, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
